Affirmation
Jan Luckingham Fable
Only now
is woman born
unto her Self.
Now, when she has found the uncorrupted power of her voice,
Now, when she has declared her endlessly reverberating "No" . . . to all that does not fit her,
. . . to all that would exploit her,
. . . to all that would sap her spirit, stunt her growth,
and prevent her from becoming.
Only now can woman say a fair and truthful yes . . .
Yes!
to her spirit that rises to seek communion with others,
Yes!
to the divine universe and to its gifts
of intuition,
creativity,
community
and love,
Yes! . . . to her authentic Self.
Yes!
Yes!
And, again,
Yes!
She speaks the words of endless affirmation. . .
I love and I accept my Self,
my gifts, my skills,
my wisdom and
my worth.
