Centering

Our true center is to live in the present moment.

The real miracle of life is to know peace within the whirlwind, calm within the storm,
to keep our hearts open--even when in hell.

Fear, resentment, rage, and self-loathing sap our
strength, steal our energy for living,
and hold us in bondage to others.

If we are to be whole and free and truthful,
our task is to reclaim our spirit,
recover the power we have given away,

to restore our minds and hearts to this very moment
in which we walk upon the earth, in which we breathe and love, and sometimes hurt.

All else is false.
