Who is Jan Fable and what is her training?
- Jan Fable lives and works in Fairfield, Connecticut. She is a former educator and
has worked as a psychotherapist for more than 25 years. She has a master's degree in counseling
and is a Connecticut licensed substance abuse counselor and trained intervention facilitator. Her clients
have come from the tri-state area of Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts, as well as from as
far away as California, London and Paris.
- Her primary training is in Bioenergetic Analysis, one of the oldest of the modern
mind/body therapies, through both the Connecticut and New York Societies for Bioenergetic Analysis.
- She has received extensive training and is highly experienced in treating trauma survivors and people with
dissociative disorders. Her training has been through programs at Four Winds Hospital (South Salem, New York),
Silver Hill Hospital (New Canaan, CT), Greenwich Hospital (Greenwich, CT), and the Institute for Advanced Clinical
Training (Philadelphia, PA).
- She has also received extensive training in the uses of altered states of consciousness in healing with California
psychologist Ronald Jue, who is an associate of the Dalai Lama, and through the Institute for Advanced Clinical
Training.
- Jan has completed the Level I and II training in Thought Field TherapyTM
at the Institute for Advanced Clinical Training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- In addition to the dialogue of traditional psychotherapy, Jan uses breath and bodywork, guided imagery, visualization,
meditation, Reiki, hypnosis, and expressive therapies such as art, sound and movement in support of transformational
change. These tools can:
- help you let go of conscious, linear thinking
- allow you to be more fully with yourself and inhabit each moment
- help you to hear your inner voice
